Disgruntled Hippo

Katie and Baxter decided that today would be a good day to give me a bath. Needless to say, I disagreed heartily, but was outvoted. I got through it with minimal dis-purr-bance by humming my cover of "Meow Meow Purr" repeatedly. I thought everyone would like to see photos of my beautiful self, even though it has been subjected to de-fur-rifying because I am all wet.

In other news, Katie and Baxter have been cleaning the apartment incredibly throroughly, which I have enjoyed meow-tastically. I love having clean spaces upon which to jump and dive, and Baxter plays a mean game of hide and seek. My favorite part was changing the sheets on the bed, since I hid under each of the layers as it was put on and then jumped around at various items being batted above the sheets. Baxter is so cunning! Anyways, since the photos I posted above were not my most flattering shots, I thought I'd give you a glimpse into the world of sheet hide and seek.

and finally, me and Baxter kissing

AWWW.

Purr,
Hippo

Morning for the Hippobear

Me-ow Me-ow!

I know that it has been forever since I updated my loyal fans with fur-tographs of my glorious self, but I have been very busy. I got my sutures out at the vetrinarian (I really like the vet tech, even though she always tries to clip my nails) on Wednesday, and my pretty tummy has been healing meow-tastically. I am enjoying myself wonderfully, especially since Baxter and I have resumed our play-heavy schedule, and I have been able to use all of my toys and climb in and out of my condo without any pain. Since it's been quite hot here in Meow-alo, I've also found a perch on the coffee table that is fur more than satis-fur-ctory. I lay there almost all day, except when Katie picks me up to pet me and scratch my tummy, but usually she sets me back on the cool cool table when she's done and my nap is unchanged.

this is my perch on the table:

this is the face I make while napping:

I had heard rumors that Katie and Baxter would be leaving me to go on a trip, and then they DID up and leave me for two days, but it seems that they won't be gone for too long. This is purr-ific, as I like having them around to wash my face and brush my hair and give me deep tissue kitty massages. They serve these functions quite admirably, I must say.

So, a few more photos of my lovely self.

This one is actually from BEFORE I got stitches on my tummy, but I am so darned adorable that I can't help but share it:

This is my perch on the Hippo couch, since I am the only one who sits there on a regular basis:

This is me napping on the shelf of the wine rack that is mine. I like to spin around and look outside occasionally as well:

A couple of hilarious pictures of me playing in a stool, though not my most graceful:

And finally, a closeup of my fur-ocious and purr-fect puss. I am SO gorgeous!

PS. A Final Kitty Thought. I know that going several days without new pictures of my fantastic fur can be traumatizing, so I thought I'd let you know that if you want to see all of my photos, you can go to Baxter's photo site, http://www.zorpia.com/pyampya . Most of the photos are devoted to me, although there are a few boring ones of Katie and Baxter on vacation and in random places about. I choose to ignore those because they don't involve me and I am obviously the most interesting of the three of us.
